master bath reveal

I have been working on getting everything for my master bath for awhile now. And I am so thrilled to show you the final reveal! I had several great ideas, and week after week at Hobby Lobby something was always out of stock or I didn’t want to get it right then. So then I’d change my mind. And the cycle just kept going around for almost two months! Ha.

My bathroom theme is to relax. This is my place to regroup when I’m overwhelmed, tired, or sad. I wanted it to be a place that doesn’t stress me out more. I LOVE my white counter tops! I got lucky!

Well, I finally made up my mind and I just went for it! I went a little out on a limb because  I have never seen these pieces put together like this. But honestly, I am totally digging the clean, sleek style.

I think the theme of my bathroom in one word is: RELAX

Its fun to go out of my comfort zone a bit (of farmhouse everything ha!) and try something new. I decided to add in the greenery (even though its not in the shower curtain) because it just has this calming effect on me!

And, better yet, my husband actually really likes this modern touch to his bathroom. So win-win!

I kept this bathroom really simple, using my favorite (and probably the world’s cutest shower curtain) as well as adding greenery because it makes me HAPPY and I’m all for that.

For this bathroom I decided I wanted:

  1. Affordable (yes I am using some things I actually already had!)
  2. Simple. I don’t know about you, but the bathroom is my time to reset and prepare for a toddler’s shenanigans!
  3. Long lasting. What if my son puts a sharpie on my shower curtain? I want to be able to switch out my shower curtain if I want and still have the same aesthetic. So these decorations will go with a ton of options. I am all for that! It’s also not going out of style this year. I need to justify a couple seasons with it!!

Moving into an apartment I am finding ways that seem to brighten the walls and add texture, as well as dimension.

Magnolia Hearth & Hand collection is absolutely gorgeous in this builder grade bathroom. I love it. @Daisy Mae Decor
This builder grade bathroom doesn’t have a towel rack. Improvising (without drilling holes in my walls) with the amazing Hearth & Hand collection by Magnolia! I’m in love with it!

All in all, I’m glad I took a few Hobby Lobby runs to soak it all in and really think outside of my usual ‘trademark’ style. It’s always good to embrace new sides to home decor and a relaxing master bathroom is something I can get behind.

Anyone else obsessed with this $5 tray?! I’ll post more about my love of trays later.

Although this may not be my dream master bathroom, I am 1000% pleased with how cute and put together it is.

I am a firm believer that I can make any place feel like home. This challenge to transform my builder-grade apartment has been so rewarding.

XOXO,

Making my builder grade bathroom one-of-a-kind! :)
I know, so many comments on white rugs. It keeps me busy washing and on top of laundry! Ha. But honestly I just wanted it to be light and I like it. I really like the white and black stripe rugs too. It was a hard choice but ultimately I love it. (It’s not a kids bath so white isn’t too hard on me!)
