The day is finally here! My toddler bathroom is finished for my boys, and I am really impressed with how it turned out.

The cutest dinosaur bathroom for kids or boys. Target bathroom collection and Hobby Lobby dinosaur collections seemed to fit together perfectly for a well designed kids bath and guest bath. Designed by Daisy Mae Decor.
Fully toddler-proof dinosaur bathroom!

I really appreciate my readers and friends for all your support! I do sometimes post affiliate links, however this post is solely items I have used, and none with which I am affiliated at this time. 🙂

Originally I was planning on doing a gender-neutral ABC bathroom. However, I ultimately changed my mind and went with the Dinosaur theme!

I really wanted the colors to be fun, but not too overpowering. I also wanted my theme to be something that would interest my toddler.

Although this is a guest bathroom, I hardly have guests. So I felt completely comfortable with a more child-ish theme and colors because kids are only kids once! So let’s enjoy it!

This is right behind the door to the bathroom. I can hang towels right now (since my toddler isn’t at the stage of pulling everything down).

The dinosaur wall art I got from Hobby Lobby! Make sure to go when it’s on sale!

The shower curtain, rugs, and towels, and washcloths I got from Target! I have been using everything for a couple weeks now, and I am really glad I went with the rugs. I originally had selected something else, but after lots of thought (washing my own bath rugs weekly), I decided I wanted a bathroom mat that I could throw in the dryer. In order to do this, I would need a rug without the rubber backing.

Although the dinosaur decor is from Hobby Lobby, the colors compliment the shower curtain and keep the calm yet colorful dinosaur theme.

The mats have been just as easy to vacuum, (in my opinion easier), and washing takes no special thought. So I don’t have to panic if I realize I put them in the dryer! ha

Decorating a kids’ bath needs to be functional! Select non-breakable (inexpensive) items that kids are less likely to break! This dinosaur theme bathroom is by Daisy Mae Decor.
The tray is also from Target (um hello…. $5!!)

The plant is from Hobby Lobby. I think it was $4. Something I won’t cry over if it breaks (thus the plastic pot… I am not buying something fancy for it!)

I decided to embrace the stage of life we are in and so I really wanted easy to clear off counters, no toothbrushes on the counter (right now), and easily accessible for my toddler.

I figure that he will be a little more enthusiastic in washing his hands if I put his step stool where he can easily move it, (and this also makes him feel independent). Although the step stool isn’t exactly appealing to the eye, it saves my back from holding him, and offers him the independence he needs.

To the right of the toilet, a step stool is stored. Although you can’t see when first walking into the bathroom, it’s in plain sight and offers easy access for this little guy to independently wash his hands.

My first priority when it comes to design, decor, organization, etc is functionality. It might look amazing aesthetically, but will it work?? That is the most important for me at this stage of motherhood I am in right now.

Decorating a bathroom can add up really quickly. I waited to decorate this bathroom for 9 months. And in the meantime, I used my college bathroom set from my freshman year. You do what you gotta do, and you take the time that you need!

Overall this is a super easy project to do a quick re-do of your bathroom theme. It can be costly, but you can have everything switched out within a few minutes and a completely different feel!

  1. Can you tell me where you got the little round wood and metal tray thing for the counter? I love this look and now that my 19 yo is off to college, I want to make the bathroom more fun for my 4 yo! 🙂 Might just have to go with the Dino theme also!

    1. Hi Amy! It’s actually from Target! I believe I got a 2pack for under $10 🙂 I think they call them Bullseye deals at Target?
