Band aid box for kids and what you need

As my son grows, he is becoming more and more mobile. The walking is turning into running, and jumping, and skipping.

With all of these new movements and so much excitement in the world of a cute little toddler, we have had an increase in cuts, scrapes, and small bumps + bruises.

I found myself running out of little bandaids the other day, and I thought to myself, “ I should put together a little bandaid box”. This would make gathering the bandaids and disinfecting spray so much easier.

Not to mention, this could also bring comfort to Hudson. If I bring out the “Bandaid” box each time, he will know what to expect and feel a little less anxious when Momma is trying to “doctor” him up.

This simple box is for minor cuts and scrapes in our family. It simplifies the process and hassle of the giant first aid kit when all you need is a bandaid 🙂

Now this bandaid box is not going to have the “First Aid” things. I won’t have a sling in there or wraps, etc.

Just simple things for the small boos boos my little toddler will face. (or me and my endless papercuts.)

To make this box I found a cute box WITH a handle!

This box is from Wal-Mart with their back-to-school line. My stores were sold out, so I had to purchase online! (And yes, you’ll be seeing more posts in the future with these totes. They are amazing!!)

Cheap & Simple Band-Aid Box for toddlers

  1. Small box with a handle for easy carrying! (This one I found at Wal-mart!)
  2. Character Band-Aids (if that’s something that brings your child comfort, or a nice distraction)
  3. Several different sizes of Band-Aids
  4. Wipes for the cuts and scrapes
  5. My favorite sprays!
  6. Antibiotic ointment

The items below are what you will find (or very similar) to what is in my Band-Aid box! I kept it really simple, and set-up subscribe and save on Amazon for an additional % off. I set mine up for 6 months apart, and I can cancel at any time! This will allow me to make sure I have an extra of each item without me thinking about it! 🙂

As a kid, I remember with younger siblings getting out the “bandaid” box and being able to handle the small cuts and scrapes on my own if my Mom was busy or if I was babysitting. So this bandaid box is entirely from my Mom. I am so glad I remembered this the other day!

Band-Aids on the top are organized by the character ones, large, medium, small, and knuckle/fingertip for the accident prone like myself! These are a game-changer if you get paper cuts a lot 🙂

This project only took a few minutes and didn’t cost much to complete. I already had most of the supplies, just had to restock a few items and grab this cute box!

I love that this box won’t easily open, even if it is accidently dropped. Having a tray inside the box is pure genius and SO user friendly. When my son has a small “owie” I can tell him to go get the band aid box, and I think he likes that he can carry it on his own without me being worried everything will fall out!

The bottom of the tote holds these items. I like keeping things simple!

I should also add, this isn’t my “First Aid Kit”. I have a dedicated first aid kit with the “real deal” things for small home emergencies etc. However, this works perfect for all the small scratches and bruises that a little character Band-Aid can fix in no time!

XOXO,
