My little 3 year old isn’t doing preschool this year. Although so many his age are starting their first year at preschool we decided to keep him home this year and do some at home “preschool” which is he very excited for.

With our move coming up in less than two weeks I have been scrambling to get all my “school” activities and supplies into boxes I can easily access so we can start school the first week of September.

I am always getting asked for links so I try to put them all in one spot to make it easier for everyone!

I want to be SO clear. You guys, my house is messy. I have boxes and stuff just about everywhere. My 11 month old is currently tossing blueberries everywhere 🙂 So I am not going to ahave a perfect academic year, and our personal approach this year is going to be quite laid back. But even then my toddler is just so excited that it makes me feel more excited. What a fun stage of life!

Here are some of my favorite learning activities and preschool learning for little ones. You will see on my sister blog post, that our preschool is very laid back, and it very much focused on my child. His interests, hands on learning, etc. We love adding learning toys and activities into the mix to help supplement and learn new skills!

First of all, a routine makes everything better at our house. That is why I created these cute charts you can edit the titles and even the squares. It also has a homeschool page too! My toddler has learn new words and is understanding the concept of time so much more these days. I really like this set!

I made these sets for schooling and daily routines. My toddler enjoys checking things off his list, and we enjoy knowing my the daily plans together. 🙂

We got this Montessori learning book to help with some easy activities because I know more often than not I will be overwhelmed and so busy especially with the move.

I’m not using one certain curriculum right now. I have my eye on a few but I think I will wait until next year 🙂 If I do find one I will share!

This cute Magnet Color & Counting Maze is adorable and super popular right now! I added this one to my preschool list because it allows him to practice sorting colors while still being that independent kid he is. This would also be great to pack for a car ride.

This ice cream one is a cute one as well, and if your kid loves ice cream like mine does, might be even more exciting!

Dot Markers are so great for toddlers and early learning.

I bought this organizer for all the crafting materials. I love how its one solid color and easier for toddler hands, you can even remove the bins off of the turn table! I just bring this out of the closet for crafting and our future “preschool”.

These pattern puzzles will be great for learners.

I also purchased these Picasso tiles so that we can build together, practice shapes and colors, and learn about magnets. As time goes on this will probably be rotated out of the preschool activities and be a fun set to add to the play room.

Melissa and Doug make some of the absolute best toys and learning activities. I purchased many for our first year of preschool during Prime Days.

This alphabet puzzle is perfect for learning the letter with an object.
These lacing beads are a must have!
These adorable puzzles. Melissa and Doug’s quality are amazing!

Another super popular find that would be a fun learning activity with your little one are these viral Search & Find ones! These are on my list as well.

Another set I am incorporating into our At-home Preschool is music. With this music instrument set, and hopefully some instruments that he can learn. I would love to get a keyboard or something. My little guy loves music. This would be a great activity to involve little brother in as well!

This piano would be so cute!

I want to be so clear: Our little preschool this year isn’t going to be perfect. I am not even going for that out-of-reach goal. But I am striving to make this a time to connect with my toddler and help him learn about his interests and also encourage him to engage in learning new things.

I also know that “preschool” will often have a “visitor” baby who will be quite involved and sometimes not helping the learning environment. And that’s okay.

I don’t have a school room, and likely won’t even have a play room in my new house. And you know what? It will most likely all be in my dining room for preschool, and then picking it up and putting it in the closet at the end of each day. And I’m okay with it.

For so long I have had this vision of being a perfect mother and I am finally at peace that I don’t have to be. So please don’t get the wrong impression from my blog posts. My life isn’t perfect, I still have budgets like you, and I don’t have a perfect house. 🙂 But I have life that has perfect moments and I keep living and pushing through the hard for those good ones.

XOXO Momma,

Kelsie Ann
