Hello! If you’re on social media, you probably have seen my sporadic Instagram stories. Life the last two months has been absolutely crazy. Two months ago today we signed a new lease on a townhome in a new part of the state, with a new job. A new life for us, really.

As many of you may know, being a part of the agriculture community was something we took pride in. It was a way of life that had become deeply ingrained in our family. The decision to change careers was not one we took lightly. For months, we debated the pros and cons, weighed the risks and rewards, and pondered the impact it would have on our lives.

Within a month of our lease being up in our condo, my husband was offered a new job in a completely different career. It was a chance for us to regain something that had been slipping away—the invaluable gift of family time. His previous job had kept him working even when he was at home, and the constant on-call demands were taking a toll on our family life.

Leaving behind our beloved farm town, where we had planned to put down roots was incredibly difficult for me personally. It meant saying goodbye to a community that I finally was able to feel familiar and a part of. However, sometimes life presents us with opportunities that we cannot ignore, no matter how attached we are to our current situation.

Now I’ve realized how blessed we are having weekends with him. Its been an adjustment having him home in the evenings and full weekends. We are learning to parent together more, the kids are loving the time with Dad, and I will hopefully start taking some time for us as a couple, (& myself soon too).

While we are still in the process of getting to know our new community and making new friends, I’ve been reminded that home is truly wherever my family is. Change can be daunting, but I’ve come to understand that this new career path is the best choice for our family in the long run.

The move from a condo to a townhome has provided us with more space to decorate and make our own. It’s a canvas for us to create new memories and a warm, welcoming environment for our family.

As hard as it was to pack up and move within a few weeks, it helped me stay busy so I couldn’t second-guess or dwell on how much I’d miss that cute community. It is true that staying busy can help you!

As I settled into our new place, I couldn’t help but be inspired by the decorating possibilities. The wheels in my head started turning, and I am bursting with excitement to embark on new projects and share my ideas for home decor and family life in this beautiful new setting.

Throughout these six weeks of hard work and adaptation, one thing became abundantly clear to me: my passion for home decorating and sharing the ups and downs of motherhood is something I look forward to, enjoy, and feel drawn to do. The process of restoring my posts reminded me just how much I enjoy connecting with all of you and providing inspiration and advice to help make your own homes and family lives more beautiful and fulfilling.

Now that my blog is back in action, I am more motivated than ever to bring you content that inspires and uplifts. I want to bring back the blog posts of motherhood and of community and help other moms know they aren’t alone. I want to encourage and inspire them to make their houses feel like home. My goal is to help women be able to have to have the knowledge and tools to do just that.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been working tirelessly on a new project/product that will be available in the coming months. It’s a labor of love, and I hope it turns out to be exactly what my readers need to enhance their homes and family lives.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has been on this journey with me. Your support, comments, and feedback have meant the world to me. You’ve made it possible for me to pursue my dreams and share my love for creating a warm and loving home with others. Your belief in me and my blog has been a driving force in my journey, and I can’t wait to share this exciting new chapter with all of you.

XOXO,

Kelsie Ann
