Nothing about my week was simple. It has been crazy, hectic, terrifying, and in some moments so sweet.

Today I needed to do a quick re-decorate of my Halloween stuff!

Thursday was my trunk-or-treat and being the frugal gal I am I used EVERYTHING I had to make my trunk and cute and not-so-spooky display for the kids.

Halloween Trunk or Treat. My cute Candy pails were cleaned out by all those cute kids!

Since my week was what it was I didn’t get to put everything back til today! And I needed to do it fast.

So- I found my key elements:

Height

Theme

Color

Style

And then I mixed them up super fast! It was a brand new design and it took me about 10 minutes. Just knowing you don’t want perfect symmetry, but some a relative likeness from one side to the other, it just kind of blends.

Then you just need you “center” pieces. (With just one you’ll have your symmetry thing going on and it might drive you crazy every-time you pass it).

This is cute! But you’ll be tempted to make it symmetrical. Find ways to make it a little different on each side so it’s not identical. Note that I grouped 3 small things one side, 3 in the middle, and 4 on the left. This helps mix it so it doesn’t feel rigid. Add a garland to let your display flow— and tie it all together.

I think I have rearranged my Halloween at least 3 times this season. Possibly 4. I haven’t bought anything since the beginning of the season. Mixing and matching really helps.

Move things around the house.

Tonight I wanted most of my Halloween in my entry way for my Trick-or-Treaters. This way it seemed for festive for the “spooky” night.

I’m very happy with how it turned out.

Mixed and matched and it worked! The key was all my signs and decor were in similar colors so it doesn’t look “off”. Something to keep in mind!! Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places for that. One display and it all matches 🙂

Take ten minutes and rearrange your collection. Do you like it?

Mix and match! Halloween pumpkins with your fall pumpkins. Put your fall ones in the bottom to help fill your bucket. By Daisy Mae Decor.
Hint: put your normal fall pumpkins in the bottom of this bin. See? Nope you can’t, ha! This helps you feel the bin without paying a fortune for pumpkins you can only use specifically for Halloween.

Ready for another hint? Buy a collection of Halloween signs and accents. Make sure the colors you buy can be mixed and matched. It makes for lots of different arrangements so your decor can go further! 🙂

Stay crafty ladies!
